Aerial & Drone
Aerial video and stills across Palm Beach County, flown under FAA Part 107.
Aerial video and photography as its own service — not an add-on to something else. Flown under an FAA Part 107 certificate across Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, North Palm Beach, Wellington, and Jupiter. Most of what gets advertised locally as drone work is flown by hobbyists who can't legally be paid for it; the certificate is the difference between a shoot that happens and one that gets stopped. Video leads here, with stills alongside, and everything is delivered in vertical as well as horizontal cuts.
Every aerial & drone session includes
- Edited aerial video, delivered in horizontal and native vertical cuts
- Aerial stills, color-graded and delivered full-resolution
- Airspace check and LAANC authorization filed where the site needs it
- 4K video and 48MP stills
- One location per booking; multi-site days quoted
Starting points.
Every Spoonbill project ends with a custom quote. These tiers give you a starting point for the conversation. Final pricing is set once we've talked through the specifics — every job is a little different.
| Tier | Starting at | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Aerial stills | Starting at $375 | Up to 15 edited images · one location · roughly an hour on site · delivered in 24–48 hours |
| Aerial video | Starting at $550 | 45–60 second edited cut, music-licensed · horizontal and native vertical versions · delivered in 3–5 days |
| Video + stills | Starting at $800 | Both of the above from one visit, matched grade across motion and stills |
| Larger or multi-site | Quote on request | Multiple parcels, repeat progress visits, or anything needing more than one flight window |
Aerial work is weather- and airspace-dependent. Palm Beach County sits under controlled airspace in several places, and while most of it clears through LAANC in minutes, some parcels sit where nobody can legally fly. Temporary flight restrictions also appear with little notice. We check the airspace before you book, not after — and if a site can't be flown, you'll know before you've paid for anything.
A 50% deposit confirms and locks the date. Remaining 50% due the day before the shoot.
What makes this work different.
FAA Part 107 certified
Commercial drone work legally requires it, and most people advertising aerials locally don't hold it. It also means airspace authorization is something we file rather than something that grounds the shoot.
Airspace handled before the booking
Palm Beach International, Lantana, and North Palm Beach County General Aviation put a lot of this county under controlled airspace. We check your address against it up front and file LAANC where it's needed, so the flight window is settled before anyone commits.
Vertical delivered natively, not cropped
The aircraft shoots vertical as a native format rather than cropping a horizontal frame down to it. For anything headed to Reels, Shorts, or a listing carousel, that's the difference between a full-height frame and a lossy centre crop.
Small aircraft, quieter footprint
A sub-250g drone gets permission in places a larger one doesn't, and draws far less attention on a residential street or a working farm. It's not a cinema rig, and for the work on this page it doesn't need to be.
From first conversation to final delivery.
-
Send the address
We check it against controlled airspace and confirm whether it can be flown, what authorization it needs, and the realistic window. No charge for the check.
-
Pick the window
Aerial work is light- and wind-dependent. We'll propose times that suit the site — usually the first or last two hours of daylight.
-
Flight day
Roughly an hour on site for a single location. You don't need to be present as long as we have property access.

Edit & deliver
Stills in 24–48 hours; edited video in 3–5 business days, horizontal and vertical.
What people ask before they book.
How much does drone photography and video cost in Palm Beach County?
Spoonbill aerial stills start at $375 for up to 15 edited images from one location, aerial video at $550 for a 45–60 second edited cut delivered horizontal and vertical, and $800 for both from a single visit. Multi-site or repeat-visit work is quoted. Comparable Part 107 operators covering Palm Beach County publish roughly $375 for stills and $500 for video, so this sits at market rather than above it.
Do you need FAA authorization to fly a drone in Palm Beach County?
In much of it, yes. Palm Beach International, Lantana, and North Palm Beach County General Aviation all generate controlled airspace, and commercial flight there requires authorization through LAANC. Most requests clear in minutes; some areas can't be authorized at all. We check your address before you book, so you find out at the enquiry stage rather than on the day.
Are you FAA Part 107 certified?
Yes. Part 107 is the certificate the FAA requires for any commercial drone operation in the United States — meaning any flight where someone is paid, including a free shoot done to win business. A large share of people advertising drone work locally are flying under recreational rules, which do not permit paid work.
What weather stops a drone shoot?
Sustained wind above roughly 20 mph, rain, and low cloud. Wind is the usual culprit in South Florida, and afternoon storms in summer make morning windows more reliable. If conditions ground the flight we reschedule rather than fly it badly — you're not charged for a cancelled window.
Can you fly over people or a crowd?
Not as a matter of course. Part 107 restricts flight over people who aren't part of the operation, with narrow exceptions tied to the aircraft. For events we plan aerial establishing shots around the crowd rather than over it, and shoot the crowd itself from the ground.
What's the difference between drone photography and aerial videography?
Stills give you the frames that sit in a listing, a brochure, or a site plan — the overhead that shows scale and context. Video gives you movement: the reveal, the orbit, the push toward a building. Most projects want both, which is why the combined tier exists; if you only need one, the searches that bring people to this page are usually asking for video.
Do you carry drone insurance?
Not at present. If your site or venue requires a certificate of insurance before anyone flies, say so when you enquire — coverage can be arranged per-flight for a project that needs it, and we'd rather sort that out up front than discover it at the gate.
Vacation rentals and short-term lets, land and acreage, farms and groves, waterfront and marine, event establishing shots, and progress documentation over time. If you're not sure whether your site can be flown, send the address — the airspace check is free.
