What makes this work different.
IMG and major-tour experience
Spoonbill works as part of the IMG production team at PGA-tier tournaments — the PNC Championship most recently, with the Cognizant Classic and the Chevron Championship in prior years. TGL Season 2 coverage of the NYGC team was delivered separately for Golf Space Collective.
Built for marketing teams
Brief in advance, scope defined, deliverables tracked. The same workflow that supports a tour-level marketing manager scales down for a club or league event.
Photo and video, one team
One producer-led team running both formats means consistent coverage and no scheduling conflict between the photo and video crews.
From first conversation to final delivery.
-
Brief in advance
We meet with the marketing team or event organizer before the event — what you need from the coverage, sponsor priorities, must-have moments, hero brand assets.
-
Setup documentation
Empty-venue and structure shots before doors open. Sponsor activations, branding, and infrastructure captured in working condition for next-year planning and sponsor reporting.
-
Tournament & ancillary coverage
Sport-itself coverage calibrated to the event, pro-am portraits for every amateur sponsor, attendee engagement across the venues, private dinners, and around-the-edge events.
-
Same-day previews
Multi-day shoots ship same-day previews so marketing teams have something to post before close-out. The recap reel is in motion before the event is over.
-
Edit & deliver
Color-graded photo galleries plus a recap reel cut for sponsor reporting and social distribution. Reusable catalog material organized by use case so the organizer and sponsors can deploy without going back to the editor.
What people ask before they book.
What does tournament photography typically cost?
Spoonbill tournament work is quote-based because event scope varies widely — single-day amateur events scope differently from multi-day pro-tier tournaments. Most single-day events we cover land in the $1,500–$4,000 range; multi-day tournaments with video deliverables run $4,000–$10,000+. Equivalent agency-led tournament coverage typically runs $6,000–$15,000+ for similar scope.
What's included in the deliverable scope?
Complete event documentation: venue and setup before doors open, every sponsor activation and brand presence in working condition, attendee engagement across the venues, pro-am portraits for every amateur sponsor, private dinners and ancillary events, sport-itself coverage calibrated to the event, plus reusable catalog material organized for organizer and sponsor reuse.
Do you cover pro-am sponsors specifically?
Yes — pro-am start photos are a staple deliverable: every amateur sponsor walks away with a portrait, plus moments captured throughout the pro-am. This is one of the most-requested deliverables on tournament coverage because it directly serves sponsor relationships.
Can you handle PGA-tier tournaments?
Yes — Spoonbill is on the production team at PGA-tier tournaments with IMG, including the PNC Championship most recently, plus the Cognizant Classic and Chevron Championship in prior years. TGL Season 2 coverage of the NYGC team was delivered for Golf Space Collective. Note: commercial photography at PGA tournaments requires PGA permission in advance; we coordinate accreditation as part of scoping.
Do you do same-day or next-day delivery?
Same-day previews are standard on multi-day shoots so marketing teams have something to post before close-out. Full edited galleries deliver within a week; recap reels within two weeks. Rush is available.
Can you scale crew to a larger event?
Yes — Spoonbill pulls from a trusted bench of freelance photographers and videographers with national-tournament experience. When a project needs more hands or specific skills, the bench scales up. The IMG production-team members are part of that bench.
Do you cover non-golf events?
Yes — golf is the deepest experience anchor, but the same workflow scales to any tournament or sporting event: sport coverage, sponsor activations, attendee engagement, and reusable assets for organizer and sponsor reuse.
