I'm a member of Peter Hurley's Headshot Crew and trained in Hurley's Squinch-and-jaw method, the same approach behind the most-published headshot photographers in the country. The result is a portrait that reads as confident without looking stiff.

Book the session
Pick studio or on-location, choose a date, and confirm. A short prep note goes out with wardrobe guidance and what to expect on the day.

Shoot day
30 minutes from when you arrive. Wardrobe check, light test, multiple expressions and minor wardrobe changes within the time block. Hurley-method direction throughout — expression, jaw, eyes.

Select & retouch
We pick the strongest frames together (or you pick from the proof set). Each final image gets hand-retouching — skin texture preserved, color graded, no plastic AI smoothing.

Web-ready final files within one business week of the shoot. Multiple sizes and crop variants included.
What people ask before they book.
How long does a headshot session take?
Sessions are 30 minutes from when you arrive. That covers a wardrobe check, light test, and multiple expressions and minor wardrobe changes within the time block.
How many final retouched images do I get?
Five fully retouched final images per session. Additional retouched selects available on request. The full proof set (typically 50–80 frames) is shared so you can pick the strongest expressions.
What should I wear?
Solid colors that match your brand. Avoid busy patterns, logos, and bright whites unless they're part of the look. Bring 2–3 wardrobe options for variety within the session.
Do you do hair and makeup?
Not in-house, but we can recommend trusted Jupiter / Palm Beach Gardens stylists who match the studio's pace. Most corporate clients arrive camera-ready or do their own touch-ups on the day.
Do you travel for on-location headshots?
Yes — we shoot on-location across South Florida, and travel further for the right project. We'll scout the location beforehand or use a spot you've already picked.
When do I get my final images?
Web-ready retouched files are delivered within one business week of the shoot. Rush turnaround is available on request — let us know on the consultation call.
Can you shoot a whole team?
Yes — team headshots run as a mini event. Each person gets the same 30-minute session structure scaled to the group. We quote per head, with volume discounts on teams of 8+.
Do I have full usage rights?
Yes — final retouched files come with full personal and business usage rights. Spoonbill retains the right to use them in our portfolio unless you opt out.
